This makes sense to me as the leak may vary depending on whether the rough spot is close to the ground when the car is parked. If you have ink stains on the leather, you can remove it with cuticle remover -- not nail polish remover! Then run the air conditioner full blast for at least 10 minutes. The o-ring looks to prevent oil from coming out of the distributor hole and leaking down the side of the engine. It doesn't look to be able to prevent oil from traveling along the distributor shaft, past the bearing, and into the dist body...I guess time will tell. |
