If you have ink stains on the leather, you can remove it with cuticle remover -- not nail polish remover! Just put some on the stain and let it set in anywhere from 10 minutes to overnight and then wipe it off. I drove another mile to the restaurant; found that the pressure in one tire was ALL gone! I pumped up the tire, didn’t see or hear any obvious leak, so I drove home. The pressure has now held up for almost 24 hours, not sure what caused the leak. The o-ring looks to prevent oil from coming out of the distributor hole and leaking down the side of the engine. It doesn't look to be able to prevent oil from traveling along the distributor shaft, past the bearing, and into the dist body...I guess time will tell. Sometimes you will get it by leaving. If you didn't get it by doing so, don'tbe disappointed. Then go to the second dealer. Using the same process but don'tleave so early this time. If you can not get the car, then go up another $ 500. If it rains use carpet car mats. It's just not keep them stain free, but also saves the extra work. For detail cleaning on the dashboard, the best thing to use is a soft paintbrush. It gets into all the grooves . Set up a claim number and then called the area dealers for PAX costs, best was $192 for the tire plus $75 each tire for labor (!). FYI another dealer 15 miles away was charging $300/tire plus $100 each for labor and my local honda dealer did not have the PAX machine even though the Michelin database said they did. I changed the o-ring on the distributor shaft. The dist cap gasket does need replacing, but not critical at this point...I want the oil to stop getting inside the distributor. There's a difference between an o-ring and a gasket. Sometimes the car was involved in accident, then some parts were changed to anew one. In this case, it is difficult to find the part with exactly colormatch. This is why some cars get a new paint. Sometimes you even can find thatsome parts are older than others. All of this indicate that the car was in anaccident. |
