I ordered a nice set of 16 x 7 Rims with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)to go with a set of 235/60HR16 Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus tires.....these tires are FANTASTIC. They grip a wet road like no other and are standard on BMW 5-series cars. Their load rating is a 98H which exceeds the axle requirements for the Ody, so you are legal. I got 5 tires/rims because we Touring folks have no spare and I wanted a full size. Vacuum in hard to reach places if you get yourself a length of hose pipe. Your hose pipe is probably long enough that you can spare 20", all you need to do is place one end of the hose between thumb and fore-finger and cup your hand over the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner. This narrow extension not only enables you to get into those hard to reach areas down the side of the centre console, but it actually has more suck. Use baby wipes on car dashboards, they clean like new and leave an anti-static layer. Buying a car, whether it's a first-time purchase or not, can seem like a daunting task. Also I have had two Michelins with material defects on my Pilot. Expect to lose a day if you go thru this tire claim process, it took us 6 hours today. Engine Degreaser: ¼ cup washing soda and 1 gallon warm water pour on engine areas that need degreasing. Rinse thoroughly. Excess should not be stored -- discard all leftovers. Carry a pressure guage and a small tire pump in the trunk at all times. In my '06 330xi, a small well under the trunk floor fits my tire pump perfectly. When the tire pressure warning comes on, don't keep driving on the flat if you can avoid it. Stop the car at a safe spot, pump up the flat, re-initialize the TPMS, and then drive to find a service station. If you get there before the warning comes on again, chances are that the tire has not been ruined and the tire can be repired. Most nail punctures are slow leaks. If you have not driven on the flat, no damage has been done and you shouldn’t have to replace it. Just cleaned/regapped my spark plugs and cleaned up the cap & rotor contacts. Because of oil collecting on the inside bottom of the cap, I decided to go ahead and replace the o-ring oil seal as well. But last night when looking at the dist out of the engine, I'm wasn't sure that replacing that large o-ring will solve the problem. There looks to be a way for oil to get to the distributor shaft bearing (shoulda gotten pics) on purpose, but is there another smaller o-ring or seal that I've overlooked? The exploded diagrams I can find don't actually explode the distributor, so I can't see one and attempting to disassemble it was futile for the time I had. Look at inside. The most important thing is that the car is well maintainedand in a good condition. Some people don't treat their car good. A good carshould have a very clean inside. There is no holes in the seats. Check if allthe buttons works well. DETROIT — Chrysler rolled into the North American International Auto Show pretty much empty-handed, so Ferrari took pity on its corporate sibling and sent over a 599XX so there’d be something worth seeing on the Chrysler stand. Rotate the tires as needed. The outer edge of the tire can become worn down over time so the tires need to be rotated. This puts the unworn edge on the outside so that you can get more use out of the tires. Rotating tires as needed can substantially increase how much you get out of them. For those whose blood doesn't run rosso corsa, the 599XX is the sharpest track weapon the Scuderia builds short of its F1 cars. We first saw it almost a year ago at the Geneva auto show, but since Ferrari skipped Detroit this year it’s the only thing here wearing the cavallino rampante. It’s based on the magnificent 599 GTB Fiorano but is a different beast altogether. Maranello slathered this 700-horsepower rocket with all the latest high-tech hardware its racing department could muster. |
