Push the gas, listen the sounds. Good engine should be verysmooth and stable. Watch if the muffler smoking. Close all trunks. Get in thecar. Check if the A/C is cold. Is there some special noise when you turn on theA/C? If something is power, check all of them. Don't forget the radio. I spray WD-40 on my wheels before I go to the car wash,then when you get to the car wash, all you have to do is pressure wash the brake dust off...works great. Check your tire pressure often. If it is too low or too high, it could pose a problem. Keep this level maintained so that your tires last as long as they should. You can easily check this with an inexpensive tire gauge. I used a can of compressed air that you would use to clean your computer to remove gum from my seat,you just hold the can upside down and frosty air will come from it to freeze the gum till it was removed. An inline-6 will be much longer (and I believe taller) than any engine installed by Toyota and will never fit in as a rear-wheel drive engine. In order to use this engine, you would have to extend the front clip at least a foot to provide clearance. There is no way it will fit as a transverse front-wheel drive engine. There were all-wheel drive Camrys available, but none with a inline 6. Look at inside. The most important thing is that the car is well maintainedand in a good condition. Some people don't treat their car good. A good carshould have a very clean inside. There is no holes in the seats. Check if allthe buttons works well. I have a 2005 Touring model and yes, my tires only lasted 20K miles. Honda offered a $ 200 per tire swap...and that was it. For that money, I can get a GREAT tire vs the TRUCK TIRES the Odyssey uses...that's right, those Michelin tires are rated as TRUCK TIRES. Freshen up - To rid of stale odors from the ventilation ducts, try spraying odor eliminator into the system's air intake, which is usually located at the base of the windshield. Then run the air conditioner full blast for at least 10 minutes. The o-ring looks to prevent oil from coming out of the distributor hole and leaking down the side of the engine. It doesn't look to be able to prevent oil from traveling along the distributor shaft, past the bearing, and into the dist body...I guess time will tell. Waxing your car every few months is recommended for optimum paint protection. The wax creates a protective barrier from dirt and debris. Test various waxes until you find one that you like. |
