I ordered a nice set of 16 x 7 Rims with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)to go with a set of 235/60HR16 Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus tires.....these tires are FANTASTIC. They grip a wet road like no other and are standard on BMW 5-series cars. Their load rating is a 98H which exceeds the axle requirements for the Ody, so you are legal. I got 5 tires/rims because we Touring folks have no spare and I wanted a full size. Then if you can not get it, you can leave. If you can not get the car bytwice, then go the third dealer. Then go up until the price your friends paid.You will get the car. Now that your friends can get it by the price, why can'tyou? Keep your battery clean and check it regularly to ensure that it is maintaining a proper charge. Allowing the battery to get filthy can be problematic. Keep a microfiber cloth dry in the car so that you can use them to clean the dashboard of a car in the long red lights or traffic jams. Look over the belts inside your engine. If they look worn or frayed then it is time to replace them. You can often buy replacement belts at any auto parts store. Look up the right ones for your type of automobile. Set up a claim number and then called the area dealers for PAX costs, best was $192 for the tire plus $75 each tire for labor (!). FYI another dealer 15 miles away was charging $300/tire plus $100 each for labor and my local honda dealer did not have the PAX machine even though the Michelin database said they did. Try to contact the us marshals office to find which auction they send the drug cars to, or contact your local banks and credit unions to see if they have repossessions up for bids, if they do don't be afraid of insulting anyone by low biding even if they have a start price. if you can prepare for purchasing a car a few months before you need to buy that's the best way to get your best deal. If it is a big leak such that the tire cannot hold pressure at all, I would still call a tow truck instead of driving on the flat. The truck always comes from a nearby service station that knows how to repair a tire. If they know you have not driven on the flat, they would be more willing to repair it. The expense of the tow is likely to be much less than a new RFT tire. If you’re member of an auto club such as AAA, the tow is free. A small tire pump should probably come as standard safety equipment on the car now that we don't even get a jack or an emergency spare anymore. Waxing your car every few months is recommended for optimum paint protection. The wax creates a protective barrier from dirt and debris. Test various waxes until you find one that you like. If you have proof of reporting the noise before 10K miles, e.g, in one of the service orders, some dealers would honor that and replace all 4 tires even if your current mileage is over 10K. They may also contact BMW to get authorization. I think BMW is footing the bill, but different dealerships may handle these cases differently. Even if they would only do 2, it's better than none. Some dealers offered the other two tires at cost. If not, you can always go elsewhere to get the other 2 done at a more reasonable price. Sometimes the car was involved in accident, then some parts were changed to anew one. In this case, it is difficult to find the part with exactly colormatch. This is why some cars get a new paint. Sometimes you even can find thatsome parts are older than others. All of this indicate that the car was in anaccident. What I do when I have a question like this is go to one of the online Toyota dealer's parts sites or call or go to your local Toyota dealer. Tell them the year and model of the car and the part you are looking for. If they ask for a vin number or ask whether the car is made in the US or Japan, then you know they are different. If they don't ask, then it shouldn't matter. |
