He said it reminded him of the Ford Explorer tire fiasco a few years ago. The o-ring looks to prevent oil from coming out of the distributor hole and leaking down the side of the engine. It doesn't look to be able to prevent oil from traveling along the distributor shaft, past the bearing, and into the dist body...I guess time will tell. Look at the back trunk. Open the back trunk, then you can see if the backpanel was damaged. Look at the cloth of back trunk. A well maintained car shouldhave a clean cloth and spear tire in back trunk. If the cloth is very dirty oryou can take off the cloth, the car was hit on back for the probability of 80%.
I have a 2006 Odyssey with PAX tires. In Sept last year, it took Honda dealer in NYC 5 days to replace a flat tire, And that was after I contacted Honda Customer service. Count me among those who won't drive the van more than 50 miles from home. I spray WD-40 on my wheels before I go to the car wash,then when you get to the car wash, all you have to do is pressure wash the brake dust off...works great. |
