As the forth car came up for auction I noticed there was far fewer people bidding, I usually wait before I bother to bid to have a look at who else is interested. Getting 20K miles out of the Bridgestone is not so bad as it has a relatively low rating on wear compared to others. There has been some talk about the Bridgestone having a new modified version, but it's unclear if that's actually true. First of all I decide what I am after. By this I usually try to avoid a picking a particular make or model of used car. Instead I prefer to look for a style of vehicle. For instance my last purchase, I was looking for a small sedan, one in good to great condition, it had to have 4 cylinders (for fuel economies sake) and have a manual transmission. I also wanted a car that was less than 4 years old. Set up a claim number and then called the area dealers for PAX costs, best was $192 for the tire plus $75 each tire for labor (!). FYI another dealer 15 miles away was charging $300/tire plus $100 each for labor and my local honda dealer did not have the PAX machine even though the Michelin database said they did. Is there a difference between a Japan manufactured Camry versus the Us Camry's window switch assembly (driver side)? I have a friend that has a broken one and he claims that he cannot find one due to the fact his camry was made in Japan. I have located one at a local AP store for $65.00. He has been quoted $300.00 for one. Vacuum in hard to reach places if you get yourself a length of hose pipe. Your hose pipe is probably long enough that you can spare 20", all you need to do is place one end of the hose between thumb and fore-finger and cup your hand over the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner. This narrow extension not only enables you to get into those hard to reach areas down the side of the centre console, but it actually has more suck. Use baby wipes on car dashboards, they clean like new and leave an anti-static layer. |
