They grip a wet road like no other and are standard on BMW 5-series cars. Their load rating is a 98H which exceeds the axle requirements for the Ody, so you are legal. I got 5 tires/rims because we Touring folks have no spare and I wanted a full size. Engine Degreaser: ¼ cup washing soda and 1 gallon warm water pour on engine areas that need degreasing. Rinse thoroughly. Excess should not be stored -- discard all leftovers. Based on the information in these articles, it seems at least plausible that many RFT owners have unknowingly ran the tires under low pressure for an extended period. That would explain premature tire wear and failure for many, but not for all. Unlike conventional tires, RFT have stiff sidewalls that make a flat tire stay more round, hence harder to detect by eye. The low profile tires on BMW make it even harder to see bcs the space between the rim and the ground is small to begin with. Many of us are under the impression that TPMS is safeguard that replaces our eyeballs, but this is often not true. Vacuum in hard to reach places if you get yourself a length of hose pipe. Your hose pipe is probably long enough that you can spare 20", all you need to do is place one end of the hose between thumb and fore-finger and cup your hand over the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner. Use baby wipes on car dashboards, they clean like new and leave an anti-static layer. Continental seems to get less less complaints and they are less expensive than the OEM Bridgestone EL42-RFT. I asked the local Town Fair Tire store and they told me that they could get the Conti overnight and costs about $200. Tirerack.com carries it for about $150 + shipping/mounting/balance. Getting 20K miles out of the Bridgestone is not so bad as it has a relatively low rating on wear compared to others. There has been some talk about the Bridgestone having a new modified version, but it's unclear if that's actually true. Before you go to an auction get a copy of the Nada blue book i don't suggest kbb or any consumer blue book, You should be able to borrow a copy from your bank they get them every month so they may loan you one, Try to get the wholesale book which is black this is what a lot of dealers use in dealer auctions. just remember right now is a buyers market take your time and be prepared to walk from the auction with nothing. Then if you can not get it, you can leave. If you can not get the car bytwice, then go the third dealer. Then go up until the price your friends paid.You will get the car. Now that your friends can get it by the price, why can'tyou? A big old soft sock makes a perfect hand mitt for buffing the wax on your car. |
