By this I usually try to avoid a picking a particular make or model of used car. Instead I prefer to look for a style of vehicle. For instance my last purchase, I was looking for a small sedan, one in good to great condition, it had to have 4 cylinders (for fuel economies sake) and have a manual transmission. I also wanted a car that was less than 4 years old. Sometimes the car was involved in accident, then some parts were changed to anew one. In this case, it is difficult to find the part with exactly colormatch. This is why some cars get a new paint. Sometimes you even can find thatsome parts are older than others. All of this indicate that the car was in anaccident. Start the engine. Pay attention to the sound when the car start. Good enginesounds not heavy. Push the gas, listen the sounds. Good engine should be verysmooth and stable. Watch if the muffler smoking. Close all trunks. Get in thecar. Check if the A/C is cold. Is there some special noise when you turn on theA/C? If something is power, check all of them. Don't forget the radio. The best product I've found to remove water spots and make your black car/suv shine is Eagle One Wet..Wipe and Shine...this product is awesome to remove spots on paint and also your exterior windows.
Negative camber with to much toe out wears the inside edge of the tire. Get the car aligned. TPMS tells you when to pull over and fix your flat or run it flat and replace it. If you reset your TPMS it wont be active for a while as it relearns strategy in which time the tire pressure could be going down. Plugs allow you to patch a nail hole along side the road. Rotate your tires every other oil change and you wont have the shoulder wear on the front tires and the cupping on the rear tires. I have a 2006 Odyssey with PAX tires. In Sept last year, it took Honda dealer in NYC 5 days to replace a flat tire, And that was after I contacted Honda Customer service. Count me among those who won't drive the van more than 50 miles from home. To help restore a license plate that is beginning to rust, spray it with WD-40 and wipe with a clean rag. This will remove light surface rust and will also help prevent more rust from forming. Battery Cleaner(Removes built-up acid)Baking soda and Water Sprinkle baking soda onto battery terminals. Spritz with water to dampen. Let set for about one hour. Sponge off with water. Air dry. |
